Cochineal is one of the most interesting natural dyes. A dye that was known by the Aztecs, as prickly pear blood!
In this class you will learn, how to grind the cochineal, go over scouring the fiber, mordants, dyeing natural fibers(no synthetic fibers are used), hand sew your Huipil and go over other supplies needed.
All supplies will be provided to end with a beautiful cochineal dyed Huipil.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided
